Hi!
I'm trying to setup FreeNAS 8 with a Syba SIL-3124 4 port sata II PCI/X card on a MSI Neo4 AMD 939 system with 4GB memory.
Currently, I have 6 Samsung FD204UI 2TB attached. 4 is attached to the mobo's sata and the remaining 2 is attached to Syba's SIL-3124.
During the boot process, I get messages similar to the following: (I don't have access to the system at the moment, but thanks to internet, I was able to find something)
fs1 kernel: siisch2: siis_timeout is 00040000 ss 40000000 rs 40000000 es 00000000 sts 801e0000 serr 00000000
fs1 kernel: siisch2: Timeout on slot 30

device 11.0 on pci3
fs1 kernel: siis0: [ITHREAD]
fs1 kernel: siisch0: <SIIS channel> at channel 0 on siis0
fs1 kernel: siisch0: [ITHREAD]
fs1 kernel: siisch1: <SIIS channel> at channel 1 on siis0
fs1 kernel: siisch1: [ITHREAD]
Once FreeNAS boots up, I only see 4 drives.
One thing I'm thinking about doing is upgrade the SIL-3124's firmware.
Another interesting tidbit is if I boot up with FreeNAS 7, I will only see 5. I see both drives attached to the SIL-3124 but only 3 out of 4 drives that is attached to the motherboard's SATA.
Any idea/suggestions?
Thanks
