SHR style raid possible

I have searched the forms for any information but i dont think it is actually answering my question either that i do not understand the differn RAIDs.
i have 2x 1TB drives that i want to use. after a while i want to swap out the hard drives (one by one) to 2x 2TB
the SHR by synology allows to replace the drives and automaticly expand (not so much automatic but with a few clicks)

my question is IS THIS POSSIBLE with FreeNAS if so can someone point me to a guide to show this

Is the documentation hard to find or is it just that nobody wants to bother reading it?
