Hola,

I have mounted a iso image (mount _d9660) on /mnt/isos/utils and i shared it in samba with cifs path: /mnt/isos/utils. It works fine, can access from windows, view files, etc..

But....

when i shared it with cifs path /mnt/isos, I can see the subdirectory "utils" under the folder "/isos" but i can't access to it

i think that is a permission problem. The utils dir user:group are root:wheel and i can´t change it because when i mount the iso, freenas transform it in a read-only folder (i think , but really, i don´t know)

anyone know how to fix it?

I know when I did some experimenting a long time ago with CIFS sharing and such, the immediate locations under /mnt are treated differently (I don't even know what it was and I eventually gave up). I'd recommend you just use something under /mnt/isos and go with that. :P

i am testing more options and curiously when i mount the iso file under the home directory user, works fine.

- CIFS config: home directories: /mnt/sistema/homes
- ISO mount point: /mnt/sistemas/homes/fredy/utils

(ll /mnt/sistemas/homes/fredy => dr-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 2048 Jan 1 1970 utils/ )

then, the msdos command dir \\freenas\fredy\dvd works
