I recently upgraded my CPU on my server from a Skylake Dual Core i3 to a Xeon E3. Since doing so, the server has become very sluggish and slow. I am on 11.1 U4. The log is also spamming with the errors:

Code:
Apr 2 18:36:06 freenas getty[8725]: open /dev/ttyv5: No such file or directory
Apr 2 18:36:06 freenas getty[8720]: open /dev/ttyv0: No such file or directory
Apr 2 18:36:06 freenas getty[8727]: open /dev/ttyv7: No such file or directory
Apr 2 18:36:06 freenas getty[8721]: open /dev/ttyv1: No such file or directory
Apr 2 18:36:06 freenas getty[8722]: open /dev/ttyv2: No such file or directory
Apr 2 18:36:06 freenas getty[8723]: open /dev/ttyv3: No such file or directory
Apr 2 18:36:06 freenas getty[8724]: open /dev/ttyv4: No such file or directory
Apr 2 18:36:40 freenas syslog-ng[1561]: Error opening file for writing; filename='/dev/console', error='Device not configured (6)'
Apr 2 18:37:40 freenas syslog-ng[1561]: Error opening file for writing; filename='/dev/console', error='Device not configured (6)'
Apr 2 18:38:40 freenas syslog-ng[1561]: Error opening file for writing; filename='/dev/console', error='Device not configured (6)'
Apr 2 18:39:40 freenas syslog-ng[1561]: Error opening file for writing; filename='/dev/console', error='Device not configured (6)'

I found this thread but it didn't work for me. Rolling back to U2 and doing the manual update did nothing unfortunately.

It's possible your boot device is failing. Try installing U4 on a fresh stick and restoring your config. Does that resolve it?

I can give it a shot but if I swap the old chip back in, the issues stop...the server runs at full speed and the log messages stop.
