Yes... I did just say the foreboded.

Before I get yanked at, I'd just like to say I'd like to be able to recommend using FreeNAS/IXSystems as a more cost efficient replacement to NetApp.

However, in order to do that in the "Big Brother" environment utilization of SCAP data and the labyrinth of Security References like Common Configuration Enumeration (CCE) needs to exist and be done.

So the question is... Has anybody played around with this type of stuff for FreeNAS?
