Seagate Business NAS can't see FreeNAS

Hi everyone,

• I have a Seagate STCU-100 NAS that is not able to see FreeNAS using SMB. I try using the IP address and freenas name and can't discover it.

Thank you for the quick reply. I tried using Rsync and still not able to connect to FreeNAS from Seagate NAS OS using Rsync. Seagate NAS can not communicate with FreeNAS.

Has the Seagate OS ever been able to communicate with a version of FreeNAS on your server?

Do you have other clients, Windows for instance, that can communicate with SMB shares on your FreeNAS server?

Have you tried whatever support services Seagate has for guidance (I looked this morning - its OS docs are a bit thin on detail).

I was able to communicate with FreeNAS on version 11.1-U5 using SMB. When I select search it would find it by name and IP address.

I have Windows 10 computers can communicate, but I have to map the drive using ip address\share

I tried contacting Seagate and they are somewhat clueless.

Finally got Rsync to connect to my Seagate NAS.
