My board has the folowing :

2x SATA (6Gbps), 4x SATA (3Gbps)

In consideration for my board specs i'm wondering if i should not buy HDD's that run at 6.0Gb/s , maybe heat would be unnecessarily increased.

You're overthinking things. Especially because all disks these days use SATA 6Gb/s data rates. Not that any mechanical drive will come close.

Thank you, since HDD's are the biggest part of the system and I haven't built a PC in 12 years and not being familiar with what is available now a days as well as being new to ZFS i'd rather be safe than sorry. Many thanks for your quick reply.
