I have a FreeNAS server set up with 4 identical drives. I added s.m.a.r.t. test schedule for these, every 7 days, (i.e. first drive on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 23rd every month, second drive on the 2nd, 9th, and so on). I have no idea if there actually is any S.M.A.R.T. test done, I don't seem to get any summary of this anywhere. or is this in summary that goes out every night at three in the morning?
I'm only doing the short tests, there is a bug which I reported that will be fixed in the next release that I'd like to have short tests for the first 3 test in the month with a long test as the last one, but for now there are 4 test each month on each drive.
