This may be a crazy notion... But as an un-initiate to FreeNAS, I am wondering how robust or fully-functional the underlying build of FreeBSD is that powers FreeNAS.
If I installed it natively on an Intel machine, could KVM be run *on* it in addition to its file-sharing duties? Obviously most of my search attempts have yielded results about running FreeNAS as a virtual machine. But nothing in regards to the other way around.
If the answer is no, then my next question is... Is there any way to add FreeNAS functionality (and web interface) to a full standard FreeBSD install?
