Hello, I'm trying to find out if Freenas 9.3 supports RocketRaid 2680. I have installed it and the bios sees the drive but Freenas OS does not. I was reading this article https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/3464 about a bug fix that talks about the 2680. I assumed this means it was supported. Please if you will shed some light on the issue I am facing. Thank you :)

There's a sticky on Highpoint hardware. The short of it is that it's not recommended hardware and has lots of quirks. Give our stickies a read if you'd like to know what hardware we recommend.

Thank you. It looks like the only card you recommend is an IBM ServeRAID M1015. I was hoping there was newer hardware available that cost around a hundred dollars. I tend to shy away from hardware purchases on ebay.

That card is like $110 on ebay... Most of us have purchased from ebay without any worries.

Any LSI SAS 2008/2308-based card will work. That includes LSI SAS 9207 and 9211.
