Hi there,

I'm newbie on FreeNas. I just install FreeNas on my desktop computer (boot pool 80GB and data pool 1 TB SATA disk)

Created a FTP user and Datapool with dataset successfully. I cant connect via FTP program to FreeNas. But;

ftp user can browse all root files on boot pool (etc, data, root var etc...). When I set ftp user home directory on Data Pool folder or /nonexistent, it doesnt matter.

Is there any way to restrict ftp user to browse only one dedicated folder (and sub folder)?

Thanks in advance,

Belek

On your FTP service (advanced settings) if you set Always chroot on, does that get you somewhere?... note the help text on that says the user must be a member of wheel to be limited to their home directory.
