Morning,

My current build is listed below, tried several versions in the 11 range (even latest). Initially when the system boots everything is fine, however, after 3-5 minutes the CPU goes under 20% load. Top only shows "system" towards the top without reporting anything above 1% in the metrics below. This has happened on 3 different fresh installs and happens if the pool is mounted or not.

Edit: Moved it into the correct sub-forum.

Further testing "systat -vm" that "acpi0 9" is generating about 10k request each update, and cpu0-4 timers are generating about 1k. Going to reboot the server and see what the stats are when it comes back up/hope this is the correct route.

top -SH shows that 3 pids with the kernal working "kernel {acpi_task_0/1/2} this is taking up 20-30% of workloads across several cores. I disabled cstates and anything related to acpi in the bios, which resulted in no change. Going back into it tomorrow.

Another Edit: powerd -v shows the current freq at 3600, wanted freq 7200.

Edit 3: Came across this thread, https://www.ixsystems.com/community...-kernel-pid-0-constant-ca-30-cpu-usage.75040/ , my irq9 is also slammed, will look into SM for a bios update or something.

Resolved.

Supermicro provided 1.0b version of the bios that fixed my issue.
