I might be a little late to the party but I've had a search around the forums and although I've found one or two posts suggesting that replicated datasets should be set to readonly I didn't actually realise that this had been implemented. Last time I checked which was a little while ago this was not the case.

Therefore I just wanted to check that if you should ever want your replicated datasets to not be readonly I assume the only/best way to do this would be from the command line using:

zfs set readonly=off tank/dataset

Appreciate any thoughts.

Yeah I'm not sure if that bug report is the same thing you know.

Replicating Datasets and marking them 'Read Only' within ZFS itself on the replica system does appear to be normal behavior on other ZFS appliances like Oracle's so I just assumed FreeNAS implemented it?
