Hi,
First off, yes I realise RAIDZ1 can be dangerous, particularly when replacing drives!!
Anyway, I have noticed one of my 1.5TB drives has started picking up bad sectors and I've had a couple of warnings/errors from my regular SMART scans. Nothing vital at the moment and everything is running fine, but the disk is something like 7 years old now so I figure it's time to replace.
I assume I can just pull the disk in question out and pop the new one in and it'll rebuild onto the new disk? It's a 4 disk array.
There isn't currently space to attach the new disk and run the zpool replace command(s).
Also, should I be doing anything in particular after replacing the disk? A scrub? Anything else?
Thanks.
