replacement for msmtp

I noticed msmtp was removed from rc2.
Since I was using it from some scripts I was wondering if I have an alternative to
a pkg_add of msmtp ?

Why do you need msmtp?

You can send e-mails from the system just by using: echo "my message"|mail -s "subject" to@domain.com

Quite silly of me to not simply try 'mail'.
