Remove Spare

I searched and didn't see this question answered anywhere else so here goes it.

I have a ZFS vol that at one point had a spare but the spare has been removed. The FreeNAS GUI sees only 6 drives but the direct interface shows that it is still trying to read the log file for ahcich6 (the old spare) and erroring out.

Anyway to get the CLI(?) to also ditch the spare?

After it errors out (3 to 5 minutes after start up) the "view disks" tab in the storage section of the GUI stops working. Just sits there trying to load.

Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

The log file error is concerning, but you can try this to remove the spare:

zpool remove tank spare-device-name
