hi all

I’m having a strange issue and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong

Setup freenas in a vm, 2 hdds, 16gb and 64gb
I install freenas into the 16gb and setup the other drive with shares etc And out data on it

I then re-install freenas onto the 16gb again but when I go to import volume or import disk the 64gb isn’t showing up???

The drive is listed under disks in the gui

zpool status only shows freenas-boot
When I run zpool import it just returns blank???

I running the latest freenas 11.1-U6

Any idea or suggestions if I’m doing something wrong would be amazing!!!

Regards

Simon

You might provide more information about how the VM setup. Like the hypervisor you used.

so after a long night looking at the VM, it turns out, i was being thick/stupid
when i setup the vm correctly, i was using their 'reinstall' button, which actually in turns wipes both the hard drives clean, re-attachs the iso and does a reinstall of whatever the iso image is
doh!
we all live and learn...
