My second cute little Verbatim USB drive (really small but now seemingly really unreliable) went the way of all good things. I decided to use a 2.5" harddrive for the boot drive and found what I thought was my original boot drive creator disc. Ran it, installed the drive in my freenas box and it boots. The problem is that the installed version is 201509022158. I was actually smart enough to back up my previous configuration but when trying to upload it FreeNAS tells me it is a newer version than the installed version. The backup is 201511040813 so I assume I need that version of the OS or newer. Can anyone point me to the location of the version 201511040813 installer so I can get the OS to like my backup and save me hours of remembering how to configure the OS? Also, I have a .db file and a .py file from my saved configuration. What is the .py file? Thanks for any and all help.

201511040813: See the 201511040813 folder in
https://download.freenas.org/archived/9.3.1/STABLE/

More recent 9.10 versions can be found in
https://download.freenas.org/archived/9.10/STABLE/
but maybe it's the best idea to start with 201511040813 and update later.

Even more recent FreeNAS versions:
https://download.freenas.org/11/

AFAICT only the .db file is needed to restore the configuration.

Thanks mucho! I just couldn't find a version repository with what I needed. While I know the .db is what I need would you know what the .py file was for? The backup was from 2016 and I have no idea at this time.

.db is short for "Database" and contains config information in sqlite format (at least last I looked) while .py gives evidence to a (human readable) Python script contained in this file. None of my config backups contains a Python script, I have no clue where this came from.
