Recovering geli encrypted drives outside of FreeNAS?

Our FreeNAS box died quite suddenly this week. I believe the failure to be CPU/MoBo related so I think the disks are fine, but they are encrypted. I have the pass phrase and recovery keys and all that, but the NAS was the only machine we have running FreeNAS. If I want to access the data is there anyway to decrypt it on Windows or a more typical Linux distro or is installing FreeNAS onto a new machine my only option?

For simplicity, FreeNAS on another machine would be best. The only OS that you will be able to recover on besides FreeNAS is FreeBSD. Details on how to mount a GELI encrypted volume manually can be found in the FreeBSD handbook at https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/disks-encrypting.html.
