Hello all,
I'm sorry for what must be an easy question but I have been searching all evening and I can't find an answer. I'm new to *nix and I need some help. I've had freenas 8.2 up and running for a couple weeks now and I have had performance problems, so I decided to ditch the onboard SATA ports and go with a LSI SAS 9211-8i card. I installed the card and I don't see any errors (I'm a windows guy so I might be missing something here) but I can't seem to get to the point to start over. I only have 1 of my 7 drives plugged in but under "view discs" they all show up. At this point I'm not interrested in recovering ANYTHING from the previous zfs pool, I just want to start over.
I've tried to reformat the disks using various windows tools without success and at this time all of the disks are unusable. How can I just format/undo/erase and start over?
Thanks,
Tom
