I have been researching which NICs to buy for a while now, and ive got lost in the debate of genuine vs counterfeit Chinese knock offs.

Ive been looking on Ebay to see if I can find any used NICs pulled from servers and sold by reputable guys in the USA, but everything is starting to look like Chinese knock off to me.. just thought id come here for some sagely advice before I do anything.

Just wondered what a recommended NIC would be for a normal gigabit network, I'm looking for a 4 port card.. probably intel i350 or something along those lines.

Its becoming difficult because ive read that reputable sellers like newegg and amazon have the knock Chinese cards listed for sale as genuine (with a genuine price tag).

Just wanted some advice. Thanks!

Genuine Intel products will have a yottamark sticker on them.
If the dealer will not or cannot show it before purchase, go some
where else. The idea behind the sticker is to go to the website
verify.yottamark.com and input the numbers from the sticker.
The pic shown is a dual gigabit card of mine, go ahead and use
the number and verify the card as genuine.
