Receiving daily digests all of a sudden?

I just got an email with "Yesterday's Most Popular Topics (from FreeNAS Community)" - ?!? I never subscribed to those, did someone enable them globally?

It's a new Xenforo feature we added so it's easier to stay in the loop. There's an unsubscribe button built right in if you'd like to not get the forum updates. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I had immediately unsubscribed as there was a link in the footer of that digest, its just irritating to be subscribed to something by someone else.

Agreed, while it is simple enough to unsubscribe, this should have been opt-in, not opt-out.

When I worked for an international non-profit back in the day, we weren't allowed to automatically opt people into email newsletters. This is because it violates local laws in some countries. You have to be careful about this sort of stuff.
