rebuild pool/jails config question

i am going to destroy and rebuild my pool to fix the 4k drive thing, my question is:

is there a way to save a jail configuration and reinstall the jails/plugins and load the jails/plugin configs or will these need to be re-setup manually?

I am doing the same thing this week and it was suggested to me to create another pool with a single disk, replicate my existing raidz1 pool onto it. Tear down the raidz1 pool and rebuild it as raidz2. Then replicate it back onto the new pool. That seems simple enough to me, although i am limited by my 6 sata ports and the new pool being 6 drives. I am toying with a temporary sata card or using an external for the temp pool.

You should replicate the jails only:
1) get a spare disk
2) replicate the jails dataset there
3) setup you new pool
4) install standard plugins using the web interface (be careful with paths: those must be the same of older jails)
5) restore from the spare disk
