Hi All, total noob here. I just got my first iX MiniXL and it was working great until a few days ago. Spectrum was acting weird so I rebooted my modem and router and now my internet runs great. However, suddenly my IX FreeNas isn't recognized by either my Mac or my PC and neither one can reach it when I put in freenas.local. Is this something totally normal and is there simple fix everyone except me knows about?

Did you configure your FreeNAS server with a static IP address?

If not, it's pulling an IP address from DHCP somewhere -- probably your router. After restarting, your router may have assigned a different IP address to your FreeNAS server.

I agree, seems like something along that line. I just looked into my router GUI and it says Panasonic AVC Networks
192.168.1.3 seems like that's my miniXL?

Also to answer your question, no I don't think I assigned it anything. I just plugged it into my router and set up my folders and added it as a network drive to Windows and my Mac.
