Hi,

I've read a lot about problems on non-supporting systems on subj (7 and 9).
However, I have to post this issue.

I've got Gigabyte GA-HA65M-D2H-B3 motherboard, with RTL8111E chip on board.
Kernel 8.3-amd64-BETA1 boots fine, recognizing this network interface as "re0".

However, at starting dhclient, reproducible bug appears. DHCP is not recognized, manual tuning of interface re0 to the correct network and IP shows NO INCOMING packets while pinging live router with DHCP.

Installation: FreeBSD-8.3-BETA1
I tried to recompile kernel without "re" device, but I failed using VM with FreeBSD 8.3.
I've built a Realtek if_re.ko for FreeBSD 8.3, but since device "re" compiled into the kernel of FreeNAS, it is not possible to substitute kernel to module driver.
I was not able to built kernel using these recommendations: http://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/freenas/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=8010

Resolution: I've installed Intel chip PCI card, and disabled on-board NIC. This config works fine.

Regards,
Paul.
