rdiff-backup on freenas

I'm wondering what I need to do to install rdiff-backup (and of course rsync) on a freenas box. Any help would be appreciated. I've not found any answers to this question by searching.

rsync is installed by default. For rdiff-backup, set up a jail and install it just like you'd install it on base FreeBSD. Am I reading the web page right that the last release is over 5 years old?

Yes, you are reading that right. Do you have any instructions on creating a jail on freenas? I tried installing it via the pkg_add and it errored out.

I was able to install it in a new jail by running
# pkg2ng
# pkg install rdiff-backup

I've never used rdiff-backup before, so I haven't tried configuring and running it, but it installed without errors.
