Hi all,

I have a whitebox with a Ryzen 5 1600, 32GB ECC, an Asus ROG STRIX B350-F and 2x H310 in IT mode.

The system has been having random freezes since ever and I've come to the conclusion it could be one of the two HBA, which I know has an old FW.

Last night I had some heavy workload on the disks connected to that HBA, and the system froze.

I am not very confident in updating the firmware, so I wanted your opinion on this.

Thanks!

Edit:

Hardware:
  • Ryzen 5 1600 @ stock
  • 32GB ECC DDR4
  • ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F (onboard nic disabled)
  • 2x H310 IT MODE
  • 5x 4TB WD RED (HBA1, with ok firmware)
  • 2x 2TB and 2x 3TB WD RED (HBA2, old firmware)
  • Seasonic PSU
  • Intel PRO 1000
  • Nvidia NVS 300
