SOLVED RancherOS stopped working after upgrade to 11.1-u1

I had a issue after upgrading to 11.1-u1, where rancherOS stopped working. Background: I used the official way to install rancherOS from the docs.

I solved my issue by reverting back to old version of rancherOS 11.1, ssh into rancher and running:
sudo ros os upgrade
type Y when asked to confirm upgrade/reboot.

then I rebooted back into 11.1-u1 to solve the issue.

you can switch between versions of freenas by selecting version you want and clicking Activate under System -> Boot
