Well:

1. No hardware listed.
2. No FreeNAS version is listed.
3. No RAID controllers are recommended for FreeNAS.
4. This isn't Linux.

So please provide something besides a "my car won't start" thread and we'll see if we can help you. But, to be frank, if you are trying to use a RAID controller on FreeNAS you're about to be told 'get rid of it and get an HBA'. Hardware RAID + ZFS = fail.

Dear Cyberjock,
Thanks for your reply,

My RAID card is Areca 1224, I have been downloaded the driver that already in USB2.
My FreeNAS version is 9.2.0

I have been installed FreeNAS on USB1.
The problem is in *installing the driver* to know and to view the disks that are connected with RAID controller.

I enter to Shell, then i mount the USB2.
mount -uw /mnt
mkdir /mnt/usb2
mount_msdosfs /dev/da0s1 /mnt/usb2
ls /mnt/usb2 (i see the arcmsr.ko*)

the problems is here, how to copy the driver to FreeNas to known on next step ?
mount /dev/da1s1a /mnt
mount: /dev/da1sa1: No such file or directory #i cannot mount the FreeNas installed USB1

so i cannot type this command , cp -f /mnt/usb2/arcmsr.ko /mnt/usb1/boot/kernel

I have a trouble in this one, so if you can help me , plz guide and support to me as you can.
Thanks ya ! :)

Ok.. so give up the Areca right now. I had the 24 port version of your controller. Keyword: had. Almost lost my pool over that thing. Go get an M1015 off of ebay for $100 and use that.

As for the other stuff, you can't just add that driver. There's a driver included with FreeNAS. If that won't work you aren't going to be able to "add" that driver without recompiling FreeNAS. Sucks, but that's life.

In short, you're trying to do something we already know won't work. And if it works you run the very real risk of losing your data later.
