Quirks After Upgrade RC2 -> Release

I have experienced a few quirks after upgrade from RC2 to Release.
  1. SSH service was not running, start automatically was enabled
  2. UPS service was not running, start automatically was enabled
  3. Apps/Kubernetes was not running, Apps page states "No Applications Installed"
For #1 and #2, simply enabling them worked.

For #3, I first tried `app kubernetes events` from the TN CLI and saw Kubernetes load in top, then the CLI returned `(empty list)`, and the apps are still not running.

Next I rebooted, and afterward everything started as expected, including SSH, UPS, and Apps/Kubernetes.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@yottabit Thanks for the feedback.
Upgrades are always complicated by the fact that we don't have a full library of hardware systems and configs to test.
Users can't test the actual upgrade because the software isn't released.
Nightlies don't go through the same upgrade process... so don't catch all these upgrade issues.
If others see the same issues, please comment and "report a bug" with all your config details so that there is a chance to reproduce.

i can concur. i had a number of services disabled on upgrade. ssh, ups, nfs, smb for me
Please report the bug.
If its replicable after rolling back to RC2 and upgrading to Release that would make it easier to diagnose.
Is it the case that a reboot rectifies the situation?

reboot didn't do anything, since the checkbox for "run on startup" was also unchecked. easy enough to fix with a few clicks.

@morganL, to test this for repro, would you suggest the following approach?
  1. Boot back into the RC2 environment from GRUB
  2. Delete the RELEASE environment from the System -> Boot menu
  3. Attempt upgrade again
Would you like the before & after configuration database? And are there any specific logs (before and/or after) that you would like me to capture?

Thanks!

Thanks, there is a bug filed now. Perhaps just add your experience to the ticket. The engineering team can confirm what they need.
