Hello everyone, I'm new to the FreeNAS area (but not computers). My question is if someone could give me a little insight on this Freenas build that I have.

Here is the build:
MSI G41M-P23 LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130305)
Intel Pentium E6600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116347)
Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148543)

I plan on running 3 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green drives in a RAID5.

Any help is appreciated.

The memory is more than enough and use a RaidZ instead of a Raid5.

As time goes by you can upgrade each of the the 1TB to 2TB (giving 3.6 TB of space) or beyond to increase the size of the pool.

BTW: You will get 1.8 TB of space but if 1 drive fails you will be panicking but your data will be safe.
