I have a SAN installed on my FreeNAS and i'm currently runnig FreeNAS 9.3. My problem is that when i trasfer files to this SAN which is in RaidZ then the wrtie/upload speed is jumpy? As you can se below at the picture it stops and starts ? and after some time i get a meesage saying that the computer couldn't find the share ? Please help.

My system:
IBM X3650 with 16 GB Ram and Intel Xeon CPU
IBM DS3400 with 12 1TB HDD (SAN)
1 QLE 2460 HBA

The san is connected through a fiber cable

Interesting.. I have been seeing several of these lately. Most have been network related.

If you are 100% sure the network isn't the problem then the likely culprit is your zpool is unable to keep up with the workload. Considering you have 12 disks in a RAIDZ configuration the likely culprit is a failing disk in your pool that is holding the whole pool down or your SATA/SAS controller having problems. Are you using an LSI controller with mismatched firmware/driver versions?

Yea, that makes me think too that I can't tell on your graph the intervals?

This make me think that it could be related to network Flow control for the NIC under Windows. Is the profile too tight?
Also, do you have maybe a computer based firewall such as Pfsense installed that will run some sort of anti-virus?

Thanks for the great replays :) I found out that is was my wrtie cache that coused this problem, since it was disabeld.
But now when i trasnfer files to my FreeNAS through CIFS, it just reboots itself? Is there a way to find out why and how to fix this problem? Futhermore my computer and other computers can't find the share when it is in use ?

Hope you guys can help me.

I had a couple of the beta builds do this to me under load. Are you current?

You can check the logs to see if there is anything... /var/log/messages
