3x QLE2562 8G FC SAN
3x X520-DA2 10G Nic
3x IBM Shelf over FC SAN
72x 12G 400GB SAS SSD

Hello, Im thinking to upgrade my current system with 12G SAS neither than FC SAN 8G. Im running TrueNas as a VM Storage with Proxmox. There is too much bottleneck at the moment because of FC SAN 8G at the moment. My goal is to improve read/write and iops performance.

Im using NFS currently

Im using 3x 10G Nic with LACP Link Agregation,
Each QLE2562 is connected to 1 Shelf
I have different brand of disks every disk is 12G 400Gb SAS SSD

So im thinking to make this build on new TrueNas Environment;

3X LSI SAS 9300-8E 12Gb/s For JBOD connectivity, Each HBA will connected to 1 Shelf at the time.
3x IBM Storwize v7000 Gen2 24x2.5" Shelf

Server specs and 10G Nics / LAGG will be same,

Can a better configuration be made? Does this configuration increase performance? I want to know your opinion about this.

Thanks.

Are you sure you don't want to replace all that spinning rust with a handful of SSDs?

iSCSI could be more more efficient than NFS? Bumping up the throughput a bit.

i dont actually know about iSCSI but because system is running with NFS currently i am not able to change
Well, you said you were going to build new. So my thought was that maybe you could research iSCSI performance vs NFS too. Sometimes you don't have to throw raw horsepower onto the problem, if it can be solved through more efficient configuration. I'll keep watching this thread, as I find it interesting. And hope you find a good solution.
