Before i upgraded to 9.10 i was able to run the built in windows backup software to make system images and backup jobs, but after the upgrade im no longer able to run the backup.

Windows gives me the following error x0807800C5 and 0x80070001, i've googled it but haven't found any solution, does it maybe have something to do with an never samba version in the 9.10 release?

Any one got windows backup working with 9.10 stable?

This version of samba includes an implementation of SMB3.11 (which is selected when you choose SMB3 as max protocol). It's possible that samba's implementation of 3.11 is somewhat buggy. Try decreasing "Server Max Protocol" to "SMB3_00" and reboot your client for good measure (to prevent it from trying to use SMB3.11-specific features that won't be supported in 3_00).

SMB 3_00 = Windows 8
SMB 3_02 = Windows 8.1 / Server 2012R2
SMB 3_11 = Windows 10

I tried changing max SMB version but in doing so i could no longer reach my network shares from windows 10

Edit: Sorry i should have read your post more carefully the first time, you said reboot your client and in doing so i could run the windows backup just fine with SMB 3.02 as max value.
Thank you
