TL;DR:
Ethernet power surge seemingly took out my NAS RJ45 ports, I can access the NAS via the IPMI/management port, and I get a "Web interface could not be accessed" error (the HDD's/pool seem to be fine).
The ports are built into the motherboard (I think, see attached photo). I do have a separate SFP+ NIC attached that may be unaffected. What would your next step be?

Longer version:
Suspected lightning strike went from my PoE security camera, through security NVR, through router, through switch and to my NAS. My security NVR lost it's ethernet connectivity as well, but is still accessible/HDD's fine. Assuming my NAS suffered the same fate.
I had a knee-jerk reaction and bought this SFP+ to RJ-45 transceiver in hopes I can just pop plug my ethernet cable in and connect to my router and get back up and running. Bad idea?
I'm not sure what my next steps should be. Suggestions?
