HI All,
The problem I am always suffering in RAID solution is "volume (almost) full".
I created a FreeNAS system in a VM like the following. (Just initialized, no data yet)
raid5-001 (RAIDZ)
- 4 x 10GB
raid5-002 (RAIDZ)
- 4 x 20GB
================================================================
Questions
1) Is it possible to merge/stripe this 2 raidz OR or stripe or other drives together, such that I can see the single drive that which can be expanded by merging them up??
2) If question 1 concept is not possible, Shall I replace the existing disk in raid5-001 / raid5-001 with larger volume then grow it ???
I studied some articles about expanding the RAIDZ. "Seems" the first one is a possible way.
Thanks,
Victor LEE
