You need to click the cogwheel to the right of the pool name and select "status" to see what's going on.

It's likely you have some read/write or checksum errors on one or more disks.

This is likely due to SMART errors on drives. Run a SMART long test on all your pool disks.

No need to wait for the scheduled tests. From Shell, run smartctl -t long /dev/ada0, and repeat for the other drives in your pool. Run smartctl -a /dev/ada0 | more periodically to see when the test finishes, and again after test completion to see the results.

Thanks Samuel .. I think I have all the drives being tested now .. but when I run your command to see if the test finishes I am not sure what I am looking at it .. So I have not idea .. I would assume for a 6tb drive it would take a while .. wish there was a progress bar or something ..

Near the top, there will be a line that says: Self-test execution status. This will say either a test is in progress or is completed.

Look at screenshot 232912, about 4 lines down. There's a header titled Self-test execution status. In your case, the test completed, as you can see in screenshot 232949.

Thanks Samuel ..

I get it now .. so if it completed with no errors then I wonder why the pool is unhealth ....

Thoughts ? ideas ?

All the rest of the drives say the same thing that it ran but with no errors or issues ..

What does zpool status Computer\ Core say? Note, the error message may be a function of the pool name having a space in it.

Please rerun with zpool status -v Computer\ Core. The error message indicates you may have damaged metadata.

Yes, try deleting those files and running a scrub. This should restore your pool to health. Then restore those files from backup, and run another scrub.

Just run zpool status -v Computer\ Core, and you'll see the scrub progress. If you kicked off the scrub in the GUI, you can watch the progress bar under the Task Manager icon in the upper right (looks like a clipboard).
