Aug 18 22:47:35 Plex dhclient[86904]: connection closed
Aug 18 22:47:35 Plex dhclient[86904]: exiting.

This is what logs contains when plexmediaserver try to start in my jail since I updated to TrueNAS 13.

I created another Plex jail (once again with the plugin GUI), I called it Plex2 and it works fine, but I'd like to revive the first one.
I tried things with folder permission, updated the jail or plex server.
I did a lot of research on this forum and everywhere else, but nothing worked, I'm ready to try anything.

ifconfig on the Plex jail :
epair0b: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
options=8<VLAN_MTU>

media: Ethernet 10Gbase-T (10Gbase-T <full-duplex>)
status: active
nd6 options=1<PERFORMNUD>

ifconfig on the host :
vnet0.1: flags=8963<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,PROMISC,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500

vnet0.3: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500

I created a Syncthing jail since the last time it worked too, could it interfere somehow?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm having the exact same issue after upgrading a Jail in my newly upgraded TureNAS installation (TrueNAS-13.0-U2) except that it's Heimdall and not Plex. The issue seems to be more generic I guess. Exact same error message, exact same behaviour. I know Heimdall is a community plugin and is not supported, but I think this is some general underlying issue that affects more than just one plugin.
I installed a new instance of Haimdall and it works flawlessly. What could be the difference as far as networking goes?

Thanks

I spent hours looking into that on every issue related to this error message and tried dozens of things, I couldn't get it to start.
In the end I created a new jail for a fresh plex install, and copied my settings :(

I did that for Heimdall too, but this can't always be the solution. If it is a much more complex installation, this might be way more complicated.

Mountur, did you report the issue? I looked for it but couldn't find it. I'd like to learn more about it before I upgrade to TrueNAS 13 - my Plex installation is working great on 12 and I'd hate to ruin it. Thanks.
