Hi.

I just upgrade to TrueNas, with a fresh install then, restore my config from Freenas. I had the same bug with Freenas, and it did not fix with the upgrade:

I have my plex install, and my media folder working. But if I add new file in the share, I have to go to Truenas and add the permission into the jail again for the Plex to be able to scan the new file into the libraries.

I there and option I have to set into permission to apply to new files ?

TrueNAS-12.0-U4
Plex 1.23.2.4656
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz
11.8GB RAM

Thanks

The files are in a SMB share, so I just copy them there.
So the important question there is which user are you authenticated as to that SMB share? it would need to be the same one as you want the files to be owned by.

The windows share is always accessible, with my windows user. And the user plex is given the access to the media folder. Pool could have many permission right ?
