permissions for jail user at host

hey,

i have a question, i was looking for the last days.

my freenas server is running, the jail is working fine. i set up some mount points for media into the jaik, but the programs cant read them (minidlna, logitech mediaserver and subsonic). i know that i simply can set the folder permissions to readable for everyone so the jail programs can read them. but i dont want to (or in this case as a last resort)

so my question: is there a way to add the jail user running the programs to the hosts user group so that they can read the files without setting them to o+r?
