Hi guys,

I'm relatively new to FreeNAS (although have some prior knowledge with *nix), I'm moving from Windows Server 2008 R2 to FreeNAS 8 and I've come across something that is doing my head in.

I used to have my drives shared with guest (read and execute) permissions, and then an authenticated "Administrator" user that had full access (read, write, execute) the share. I've been attempting to set this up on FreeNAS but I am really struggling to get it to work.

^^ These are the share settings that FreenNAS has set.

I've tried changing the permissions for the guest account as well but they will not stick either, I'm trying to remove the "write" permission.

^^ These are the volume permissions for my NTFS volume "3TB" that I'm trying to share. I have attempted to change Owner to "nobody" and Group to "Full_Access" which is a group I created that contains my Administrator account with full read write and execute permissions; I've tried setting this recursively as well and it will not stick.

Hopefully someone can help me out.

Cheers,
Kane.
