UPDATE: Apparently, detaching a pool and then re-importing it PERMANENTLY DELETES ALL PERIODIC SNAPSHOT TASKS associated with that pool!
System is: FreeNAS 11.2 U6
I changed over to a smaller boot-pool, from 1 x 64GB to 2 x 32 GB (mirror). Before re-installing FreeNAS 11.2 U6 from scratch, I saved my config (with secret seed) in System > General > Save Config.
After the installation was successful, I loaded my saved config (with secret seed) in System > General > Upload Config, then the system rebooted.
Upon rebooting, and logging into the Web GUI, I looked around to make sure everything was back to how I previously configured it, and all looked good. Then I noticed my Periodic Snapshot Tasks is empty! I nervously checked my other tasks (Cron Jobs, S.M.A.R.T. Tests, Scrubs, etc), and they were thankfully still intact.
Is this a known bug in FreeNAS 11.2 U6? Has anyone else experienced the same thing when saving > re-installing > uploading their config?
I tried searching for this in the forums, but could not find any mentions of it.
