Or better, since it's a mezzanine card, consider if it's possible to install the IT firmware on it.

Doubt it works on an SAS 3108, but I do think that the SAS3 software stack allows for non-RAID drives in all configurations, not just IT/IR.

Hi Sakura,

thanks your reply, I had change my card to LSI 9300 8I HBA card and come out another problem which is my 1st slot hdd drive is not recognized by freenas and even tried upgrade to new version Freenas 9.10.1-U1(ff51a5d)

In the HBA card BIOS Page My 1st slot hard drive is shown SAMSUNG SAS SSD but freenas is not recognized.

I'll bet your backplane is SAS2. Right? I've seen this happen with SAS3 HBA attached to SAS2 backplanes but not for ~8-10 months. What firmware version was your LSI9300-8i?

Backplane firmware might need an update, too.

Hi Depasseg,

how to check my backplane is SAS 2 or SAS 3? My HBA card version is 12.00.00.00 IT.
