Over Provision Boot SSD

Is it possible to over provision the boot SSD? It will hold the 16GB SWAP partition so the extra endurance gained by over provisioning will be helpful. I assume the installation creates two partitions, one 16GB for swap and another that is the remaining size of the SSD. Is there any way to force the second partition to be smaller and not take up the whole SSD so the extra space can be used for over provisioning? I'm using NVME SSDs so I'm thinking this might be possible by creating a smaller namespace on the device ... not sure if that's possible though via the installation media's shell.

Thanks,
Harry

It's not possible via the installer, unless you have a tool from the manufacturer to configure the reserve (which is probably the best way to go anyways).

With modern SSD's, enabling TRIM should be sufficient to replicate the enhanced endurance benefit.

Swap goes nearly unused if everything is well, so I wouldn't worry about that on any reasonable SSD.
