SO my OS drive has an issue which is causing FreeNAS to reboot constantly so I'm going to swap that drive out for a new one instead of using old spares.

When reinstalling, should I leave all the drives connected to the motherboard to re initialize the zPool's or should I disconnect the drives, install the OS and then plug the drives back in to reconfigure the pool? I'd like not to loose any of the data on those drives if possible. Saw this coming and the issue started in the midst of a full backup.

OS drive? It's supposed to be installed on an USB Stick.
You can just re-install and auto-import your pool. If you have a backup of your configuration you can just restore it.

Yeah I swapped to an actual HDD because I had two USB sticks crap out on me within two months. I figured it would be more reliable. I probably would have been, had I not used an older drive I had laying around.
