To just get it out of the way; I am a moron.
Without realizing it, I moved the VM with my config backups onto the ZFS storage unit. I had dual SANDisk Flash Drives running the OS FreeNAS 11. Both seem to have failed, and I don't think I can read them at all.
I know there's lots of posts already about this, but I'm so nervous, I wanted to start a clean thread to ensure I don't do something to make things worse.
1. If I use a new flash drive and do a clean install, will FreeNAS "find" the previous ZFS configuration and allow me to import the volumes?
2. I'm running on a nice SuperMicro storage server, so I am relatively confident the drives themselves with all my content, logs, archive, etc. are healthy. Almost certain that I have just lost the USB Flash OS.
I would be so very grateful for any brief suggestions on the proper steps I should take to attempt recovery. From what I understand, I will have to redo all the network configurations, user details, etc., but it sounds like there should be an import option to "discover" the existing drive/pool layout?
Thank you in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.
Kind Regards,
