So after a bit I am looking at upgrade some drives on my truenas. Currently I am running 4 vdevs that have 5 drives each with raidz2 in each. This is running in a 36bay NAS. Will be getting 6x 18TB drives to make a new vdev.
With these new drives, what would be the optimal config to get the best read / write speeds while maintaining redundancy so I don’t lose the stuff. Eventually I would be getting another 6x drives and replacing the current 24 with 18TBs drives too.
