I haven't seen many people mention these. I've only found 2 comments of it. I want to use this for my home network. And just add drives more drives as I need.

1 said they love them
And the other said the temps of the 2nd row and back get too high for home use

Any other thoughts?

If your home environment is consistently cool, such as if your equipment room has a separate minisplit keeping the temperature controlled, it probably wouldn't be terrible. However, even in a data center, I strongly agree that there is an argument against this due to the heat load placed on drives farther back, and that this is a generally undesirable configuration if it can be avoided. If you do it, please consider looking towards lower-powered 5400/5900 RPM drives as they will dissipate less heat, and be aware that some manufacturers have been lying about speeds.
