Been a user for some time, always googled and only asked if the answer to my question is eluding my Google fu.
I have just made a jail (iocage) for a VPN server.
Installed OpenVPN and configured it, allow tun for jail and so on.
When starting manually, everything works just fine with Google authenticater.
But when I finalized the last step by having OpenVPN enabled in rc.conf and restarted the jail (to confirm everything starts as it should).
It does not start.
Ifconfig shows epair0b and tun0.
For some reason something changes the line "dev tun" to "dev epair0b" in my openvpn.conf file.
Tried adding openvpn_flags="--dev tun" in rc.conf but that did not help.
I got no clue what is changing the "dev tun" value on startup.
TrueNAS 12.1, fresh jail with OpenVPN and Pam.
