First to describe what happened (as best as I can tell, I was not home at the time): mains power went down for ~9 mins, the network and my server (see sig) are on UPS and my server is set to shutdown after 90 sec of power loss.
While it appears that it tried to do this it did not actually shutdown (still investigating this), the part that I would like input on is as follows though: when the server came back up it reported that one of the drives was low on Helium and need to be replaced (it had not before reported any issues) and then the next day it reported that it was entirely fine and the Helium level was back to 100% and most interestingly reported that the Helium level had in fact never dipped below 100% (and it maintained this even post long test).
Given all this should I assume that this is something that actually happened and replace the drive or chalk this up to software weirdness due to the failed shutdown from the power loss and that the drive is actually fine?
